Electrolysis Hair Removal

How does electrolysis work?

A fine, sterile probe is inserted along the side of the hair in the follicle. A quick, electric current is directed to the hair root, destroying the hair growth tissue, allowing for the easy removal of each treated hair. The process of electrolysis will dry up the hair follicle, eliminating its regenerative ability, resulting in permanent hair removal. Since hair grows in stages, you will notice regrowth that may appear to be the same hair that was already treated, but new growth in the area can be the result of waxing, tweezing, and chemical treatments.

Is electrolysis permanent?
Yes, because it permanently destroys the hair root, which is the part that makes the hair grow back. It is the only truly permanent method of hair removal.

How do I treat the hair between treatments?
Do not tweeze or wax the area! We suggest that you trim the hair with a pair of scissors until you are able to return for treatment. When you tweeze or wax between treatments, you are only stimulating hair growth in that area, and if you are already having electrolysis treatments, you are taking steps back to square one. Continuing proper treatment will slow down the growth in the area, eventually resulting in permanency.
